The founder of the Turkish company TODEX, who had stated before fleeing that he would return in two days, was finally arrested after months of living in hiding in a coastal city in Albania.

Blendi Çuçi, the Albanian Minister of Interior, announced on Tuesday morning during a call with his Turkish counterpart Süleyman Soylu that Fatih Ozer had been apprehended in the city of Vlorë.

The Albanian police reported that the 28-year-old Turkish citizen was arrested around 6:30 AM GMT at a hotel in Vlorë.

In a statement, the Albanian police emphasized that two other individuals suspected of assisting him were also detained, along with the seizure of their computers, mobile phones, and bank cards.

Fateh Ozer had long been listed on Interpol's red notice.

According to the Albanian Ministry of Interior, Mr. Ozer's identity has been confirmed through biometric tests, and the process for his extradition to Turkey has begun.

Turkey issued a warrant for Fateh Ozer's arrest on April 23, 2021. According to the Turkish Ministry of Interior, he is accused of a $2 billion fraud involving 400,000 users.
