According to data from the European Organization for Air Navigation Safety "Eurocontrol," Istanbul Airport was the busiest airport in Europe during the period of September 5-11, averaging 1,351 flights daily.

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Turkey also announced that Istanbul Airport remains the only airport among the top 5 busiest airports that has exceeded its performance target from 2019 by 7%.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport ranked second with an average of 1,320 flights, while Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris came in third with 1,260 flights.

Furthermore, Frankfurt Airport secured the fourth position with 1,159 flights, and London Heathrow Airport took fifth place with 1,115 flights.
