The discovery of human skeletons dating back 1600 years occurred during roadside excavations related to road construction in the Kahta region of Adıyaman. Five human skeletons from the Roman period, estimated to be 1600 years old, were uncovered.

During road construction in the Kahta region of Adiyaman, five human skeletons dating back to the Roman period, estimated to be around 1600 years old, were discovered.
These human skeletons were discovered during excavation with a drilling machine on kilometer 21 of the Kahta-Sincik road, which is currently under construction in the Göllük village of Kozağaç in this region.
After receiving reports about the discovery of these skeletons, several teams of archaeologists from the museum management entered the area. Upon investigation, it was determined that these skeletons, which were found in a tomb, belonged to five individuals from the Roman period.
Officials from the museum stated that these skeletons are approximately 1,600 years old, dating back to the Roman era.
