The founder of Thodex exchange has been extradited to Turkey!
Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Thodex, which Albania decided to return to Turkey, has been brought to Istanbul by plane.

He, who had fled Turkey after a court summons, was extradited from Albania to Istanbul this morning by plane.
The Ministry of Justice, the General Directorate of Foreign Relations, and the European Union had requested Özer's extradition. Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ had a phone conversation with Albanian Justice Minister Ulsi Manja, where the matter of extraditing this defendant from Albania was discussed.
After the high courts of Albania confirmed the decision regarding Özer's "extradition to Turkey," measures were taken to bring him to Turkey.
The plane carrying Özer landed at Istanbul Airport this morning. Özer, who was wanted under a red notice, was arrested in Albania on August 30, 2022.
The lower court's decision regarding Özer's continued detention was appealed by Özer's lawyers on September 14, 2022. The appellate court upheld the detention order on September 20.
