Meler fell to the ground after the blow and was kicked by several individuals. An investigation has been initiated by the Chief Prosecutor's Office of West Ankara against all suspects who entered the field after the match and attacked the referee, as well as fans who had entered the pitch, for charges of "violating the law on preventing violence and disruption in sports" and "causing harm to a public official due to the performance of public duty."
Koca, who was taken to the hospital following the altercation, received treatment under the supervision of security forces at the hospital. The process of Koca's arrest and his initial statements were taken at the hospital.
Koca and six others were presented to the West Ankara Court. Additionally, two more individuals were later arrested. Tunç stated that very sad events occur in sports arenas that they do not want to see, emphasizing that accepting such attacks on referees is not feasible for them.

Tunç added that the Criminal Court of Peace in West Ankara issued arrest warrants after the decision of the Attorney General's Office to detain individuals who intended to attack.
