The Arrival of the First National Suburban Train on Gaziantep Rails
The first national and domestic train, produced within the framework of the National Suburban Train Project by Türkiye Raylı Sistem Araçları Sanayi (TÜRASAŞ), has arrived in Gaziantep and has been placed on the rails at Başpınar station.
A New Transformation in Gaziantep's Rail Transport
This train, produced at the TÜRASAŞ factory in Sakarya, has now been put into operation within the framework of the GAZİRAY Project. This project, implemented by the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, plays a key role in improving urban transportation.
Technical and Safety Features of the National Train
This train features 32 passenger entry doors, 42 information screens, and advanced security systems, including internal and external surveillance cameras and a smart audio system. Additionally, more than 85,000 meters of fire-resistant cables have been used in its construction.
Increasing Transport Capacity with GAZİRAY
"GAZİRAY is currently operating with a capacity of 10,000 passengers, and soon the frequency of trips will be reduced from every 20 minutes to every 6 minutes, increasing the total passenger capacity to 60,000."
Halil Uğur, Deputy Mayor of Gaziantep, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the project and emphasized that with the arrival of new trains, the frequency of GAZİRAY trips will increase significantly.
