Increase in Turkey's Exports in 59 Sectors Last Year
According to the report by the Turkish Ministry of Trade, the country's exports increased in 59 sectors out of a total of 97 classified sectors compared to the previous year.
Based on data extracted from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Turkey's exports in 2024 grew by 2.4% compared to the previous year, reaching 261 billion and 855 million dollars.
While Turkey's total exports in the previous year were recorded at 255 billion and 627 million dollars, statistical analyses show that exports increased in 59 sectors, while 38 sectors experienced a decline.
In recent years, Turkey has repeatedly set new export records in its republican history, and the performance of leading sectors has played a key role in this success.
The Significant Role of Road Vehicles in Export Growth
The largest increase in exports last year was recorded in the category of motor vehicles, tractors, bicycles, motorcycles, and their parts and accessories. The exports of this group increased by 1 billion and 610 million and 712 thousand dollars compared to the previous year.
Following this group, iron and steel exports ranked second with an increase of 1 billion and 323 million and 990 thousand dollars.
In 54 out of the 59 sectors that experienced export growth, the increase was at least 1 million dollars. Among these, in 22 sectors, export growth exceeded 100 million dollars, while in 2 sectors, the increase reached the billion-dollar level.
The Largest Decline in Exports in Non-Woven Clothing
On the other hand, the largest decline in exports last year was recorded in the category of non-woven clothing and accessories. The exports of this sector decreased by 652 million and 531 thousand dollars compared to the previous year.

However, the increase in exports in key sectors reflects Turkey's economic growth potential and the further development of its leading industries.
