Increase in Housing Price Index in February
The Housing Price Index (KFE) in February 2025 increased by 2.8 percent compared to the previous month and by 31.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
The KFE, calculated to monitor housing price changes in Turkey by excluding quality effects, rose by 2.8 percent in February compared to January, reaching 170.5.
Additionally, this index increased by 31.3 percent compared to February of the previous year, but in real terms, taking inflation into account, it shows a 5.6 percent decrease over this period.
Status of the Three Major Cities
According to the data, KFE changes in Turkey's three major cities in February were as follows:
- In İstanbul, it increased by 2.6 percent compared to the previous month.
- In Ankara, the index grew by 3.3 percent.
- In İzmir, this rate was 3.8 percent.
Annual Growth in the Three Major Cities
Comparing the index to February of the previous year shows:
- İstanbul recorded an increase of 28.4 percent.
- Ankara saw a growth of 37.2 percent.
- İzmir also experienced an increase of 32.7 percent.
The Housing Price Index in February 2025 increased by 31.3 percent compared to February of the previous year, but in real terms, it recorded a 5.6 percent decrease.
