Arrival of Nearly 3,000 Tourists to Izmir Port by Cruise Ships
Two cruise ships named "MSC Sinfonia" and "Astoria Grande" arrived at Izmir Port this morning, bringing a total of 2,983 tourists to the city.
Journey from Greece and Russia to Turkey
The ship MSC Sinfonia had departed from the port of Piraeus in Greece with 2,170 passengers, while the ship Astoria Grande had set off from the port of Sochi in Russia carrying 813 tourists toward Izmir.
Visiting Tourist Attractions in Izmir
Most of the tourists on these two ships were Russian, Italian, and Spanish citizens. After arriving at the port, they visited the tourist attractions in downtown Izmir as well as the ancient city of Pergamon (Bergama).
The presence of tourists caused noticeable crowding in the area around Izmir Port.
Next Destination of the Ships
It is scheduled that later today, the ship MSC Sinfonia will head toward Istanbul, while the ship Astoria Grande will continue its journey to Amasra, one of the tourist areas in Bartın province.
