Eid al-Adha Holidays Extended to 9 Days

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, announced that the three days following the official Eid holidays have also been considered administrative leave for government employees.

Erdoğan said in his speech: "We want families to be able to spend enough time with their children and to experience the Eid peacefully and joyfully with their loved ones. For this reason, we have declared the three days following the official Eid holidays as administrative leave for public employees."

Based on this decision, the days Wednesday, April 2; Thursday, April 3; and Friday, April 4 will be counted as administrative leave. In this way, government employees and many people in Turkey will be able to benefit from a 9-day holiday.
