Turkey's Goods Exports Reach Second Highest Record in History
Goods exports in Turkey yesterday reached a remarkable figure of 2 billion and 65 million dollars; a number that has been recorded as the second largest daily export record in the history of the Republic of Turkey.
A Major Achievement on the Eve of Eid
The Minister of Trade of Turkey, Omer Bolat, announced this great success on social media on the eve of Eid al-Fitr and considered it a sign of the country's sustainable export growth.
"Yesterday, Friday, March 28, 2025, daily goods exports reached 2 billion and 65 million dollars; which is the second highest daily record in the 101-year history of the Republic of Turkey."
Exports; The Driving Force of Economic Growth
Bolat, referring to the growing trend in exports, emphasized that goods and services exports continue to be the main engine of economic growth in the country, especially in a global environment increasingly affected by protective and restrictive policies.
"In line with the goal of 'The Century of Türkiye will be the Century of Trade' set by the President, our governments have managed to increase goods and services exports by 7.5 times over the past 22 years, reaching a total of 377 billion dollars."
He added that this significant growth in exports has played an important role in increasing production and employment, reducing unemployment, and providing foreign currency for the country, contributing positively to the trade balance and current account.
Appreciation for Exporters
In conclusion, the Minister of Trade thanked the exporters for their efforts and wished them continued success.
"You, our dear exporters, are a source of pride! May the blessed Eid al-Fitr bring health, peace, success, and prosperity to our country, our people, and the entire Muslim world. Our beautiful Türkiye!"
