5-Year Prison Sentence Requested for Feyza Civelek; Controversial Threat from "Cranberry Sorbet" Actress
Feyza Civelek, an actress known for her role as Nilay in the popular series “Cranberry Sorbet”, is facing a request for a prison sentence of up to 5 years for sending threatening messages on social media.
Civelek, who has been in the media spotlight in recent years for her acting as well as her statements and personal life controversies, has once again made headlines with a scandalous legal case.
Judicial Investigation Begins Against the Actress
According to reports, the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office launched an official investigation after receiving a complaint against Feyza Civelek for sending messages containing insults and threats online.
It is said that the actress reacted strongly after receiving a critical comment about her relationship with Alican Kurt and sent harsh messages threatening the commenter.
"Who are you to comment on my relationship? I got your number, and I’ll respond soon. If I hear you talk about me again, I’ll hang you on a bridge!"
Official Complaint with Evidence Submitted
The complainant, Mert Wang, who received these messages, decided to pursue legal action instead of responding directly. He went to the Istanbul Court and filed a complaint, claiming that Civelek had targeted him with messages full of threats, insults, and humiliation.
Wang also stated that the purpose of these messages was to intimidate and silence him, and he attached screenshots of the messages as evidence to the case file.
Formal Case Filed and Prison Request Submitted
Upon conclusion of the investigation, the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office prepared an indictment against Feyza Civelek and submitted it to the local criminal court. In this indictment, screenshots of the sent messages were included as valid evidence.
According to information published in the newspaper "Sabah," the prosecution has requested a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison for Civelek on charges of insult and threat.
The famous actress is expected to appear in court in the coming months to respond to the charges against her.
