Neslihan Atagül Responds to Acting Retirement Rumors: “Just Taking a Break”
After becoming a mother, rumors spread that Turkish actress Neslihan Atagül had quit acting. The star clarified that she hasn’t left the industry — she’s simply taking a well-deserved break to focus on her family.
Known for her roles in “Yaprak Dökümü”, “Fatih Harbiye”, “Kara Sevda”, and “Sefirin Kızı”, Atagül has become one of Turkey’s most recognized faces both domestically and abroad.
Family Life and the Joy of Motherhood
Atagül and her husband Kadir Doğulu, who met on the set of Fatih Harbiye, married in 2016 and recently welcomed their first child, Aziz, in March.
Her Calm Response to the Rumors
“Work continues, but it’s natural to stay away from the screen for a while. I’m not rushing back — I’m enjoying my time with Aziz.”
Speaking to GazeteMagazin, Atagül said that slowing down after childbirth has helped her find balance. “I’m not in a hurry, but I’m not standing still either. Living without plans feels peaceful and refreshing.”
