A Powerful Return for the TV Series “City Far Away”
The popular TV series City Far Away returned after a one-week New Year break with a striking and intense episode, immediately rising to the top of the ratings. One of Kanal D’s flagship productions, the series welcomed 2026 with an episode that dramatically reshaped the story.
In the new episode, Boran completely lost control after learning that Alya and Cihan were together, triggering major shifts in the narrative. Meanwhile, the long-standing mystery surrounding their marriage was finally resolved. After Boran proved his legal identity in court, the judge ruled that the Cihan–Alya marriage was invalid.
The return of “City Far Away” not only changed the course of the story, but also reshuffled the ratings race.
Another couple facing dark days was Kaya and Zerrin. Following a tragic accident, the pair learned that they had lost their baby. It was later revealed that this devastating situation was part of a cruel scheme orchestrated by Demir.
The episode also featured lighter and more emotional moments. Fidan’s attempt to throw Ecmel off the roof brought a smile to viewers’ faces. At the same time, romance peaked during Cihan and Alya’s playful debate over whether menemen should be with onions or without, as well as in scenes where Cihan teaches Alya how to drive a tractor.

With its cinematic atmosphere, the latest episode of “City Far Away” even surpassed the Galatasaray–Trabzonspor Super Cup Semi-Final in the ratings. In the Total Viewers category, the series achieved a 15.83% rating with a 40.35% audience share.
In the 20+ABC1 group, it recorded a 15.03% rating and a 36.96% share. In the AB category, “City Far Away” reached a 11.03% rating with a 31.46% share, while also becoming the most talked-about TV series on social media.
