Hakan Sabanci’s Statement Following Release in Drug Investigation
Businessperson Hakan Sabanci (Hakan Sabancı), who was detained as part of a drug investigation and subsequently released by the court with a travel ban, denied all allegations in his statement. Following the legal procedures, Sabanci provided his testimony to the prosecution, asserting that he has never used drugs at any point in his life.
Hakan Sabanci Denies All Allegations
In his statement, Sabanci claimed that Aygun Aydin (Aygün Aydın), who is at the center of the accusations, had slandered him. Stating that he had only met Aydin once in the past, Sabanci reminded the court that she had become obsessed with him and noted that there were previous restraining orders issued against her.
"I have never used drugs at any period of my life. I have never been in environments where drugs were used."
Regarding the individual named Aygun Aydin, Sabanci stated: "The person you asked about, Aygun Aydin, is someone I met once in the past. She later became obsessed with me, and I even obtained a restraining order against her, which led to her being imprisoned for violating it. Her claims about me are slander. The allegation that I used drugs with this person is absolutely false."
Statements Regarding Bebek Hotel and Hande Ercel
Sabanci also addressed specific locations and individuals mentioned in the investigation. "I have visited Bebek Hotel (Bebek Otel) in the past, but I did not go there with Aygun Aydin; in fact, I have never gone anywhere with this person. I met Aygun Aydin once at my residence. Our meeting took place on the middle floor, but I certainly did not use drugs. I have never participated in parties," he explained.
Furthermore, Sabanci mentioned Hande Ercel (Hande Erçel) in his testimony, stating: "I know the person named Hande Ercel. This person has never used drugs in my presence."
