Yıldız Tilbe revealed her illness: "I won’t hold the microphone anymore"
Yıldız Tilbe, a famous singer and one of the most prominent voices in Turkish music, announced during her recent concert in Alaçatı that due to blood pressure problems, she can no longer hold a microphone.
This 59-year-old artist, known for hits like “Delikanlım”, “Hastayım Sana”, “Yürü Anca Gidersin”, “Sana Değer”, and “Vazgeçtim”, has touched the hearts of millions. Besides her music, she has always been in the media spotlight for her unique style, warm behavior with audiences, and live performances.
During this performance, Tilbe gave her fans an unforgettable night, but what drew the most attention were her honest remarks about her physical condition.
Revealing her illness in front of the audience
While talking to her audience on stage, Yıldız Tilbe spoke about a chronic issue she has been dealing with for many years.
Sudden increase in blood pressure
She explained that she had low blood pressure since childhood and often lived in a semi-faint state, but things have changed recently.
“My blood pressure was always 4 over 8 my whole life. I was always sleepy and semi-conscious. But a week ago, it suddenly became 14, then 17. I was shocked myself.”
Tilbe added that, following her doctor’s advice, she will start Pilates or yoga, since limited movements on stage have caused her muscles to shorten.
End of handheld microphone use
The beloved Turkish singer emphasized that from now on, she will no longer hold a microphone, because it hurts her arm, and she needs to move her hands more.
“My doctor said not to hold the microphone, so I don’t anymore. My arm gets hurt. I need to move my hands more. I didn’t know blood pressure could be this hard...”
In conclusion, Tilbe wished health to all patients, especially those suffering from blood pressure issues, and said with a hopeful outlook on the future that despite her physical challenges, she still feels happy.
