Farewell Message
“Dear Benfiquistas, unfortunately the time to say goodbye has come. After an unforgettable year and a journey full of wonderful memories, I want to leave a few words to everyone who accompanied me on this path. First of all, my heartfelt thanks to my teammates, my valued coach Bruno Lage and the technical staff, as well as all the incredible people working at the club. It was a great honor to share this time with you. A very special thank you to our amazing fans who never stopped supporting me from the first day to the last moment. I will never forget the moment when, in my first match, the entire stadium stood up and applauded me as I was leaving the pitch. That moment will stay in my heart forever. This club will always have a very special place in my life. In my first experience in Europe, I received endless support from all of you and I am very grateful for that. I leave with the sadness of not being able to deliver the league title you deserve, but I wholeheartedly believe that this great team and its fans will win the championship this season. From now on, as a true Benfica fan, I will always support you. Finally, I want to leave a special thank you to our President Rui Costa. Mr. President, thank you very much for everything you have done for me.”
