Rainy weather across the country during Eid al-Fitr
The warm weather that has prevailed across the country in recent days will leave on Friday. With the beginning of the Eid al-Fitr holidays, it is expected that most regions of Iran will be affected by a rainy weather system. Below is a day-by-day review of the weather conditions during the holidays.
General weather condition during Eid
Eid al-Fitr this year will begin on Sunday, March 30, and will continue until Tuesday, April 1. As these days approach, many are curious about the weather conditions. According to forecasts, the temperature, which has been above seasonal averages in recent days, will drop by the end of the week, and rainfall will begin in a large part of the country.
Arafa Day (Saturday, March 29)
On Arafa Day, it is expected that most western regions of the country will witness showers. Also, there will be a noticeable drop in temperatures.
The predicted temperatures for some cities are as follows:
- İstanbul: minimum 8 and maximum 19 degrees Celsius
- Ankara: minimum 10 and maximum 21 degrees
- İzmir: minimum 14 and maximum 20 degrees
- Antalya: around 18 degrees
First day of Eid (Sunday, March 30)
On the first day of Eid, showers will be widespread across the country, and the temperature will return to seasonal averages.
The temperatures of major cities on this day are:
- İstanbul: 8 to 18 degrees
- Ankara: 8 to 18 degrees
- İzmir: 13 to 19 degrees
- Antalya: around 16 degrees
Second day of Eid (Monday, March 31)
On the second day of the holidays, a large part of the country will still be rainy. In the regions of Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, and Southeastern Anatolia, the rain is expected to come in the form of thunderstorms.
Third day of Eid (Tuesday, April 1)
On the third day of Eid, most parts of the country will continue to be affected by rainfall. Only a few cities will be excluded from this condition.
