Planning of 395 additional flights by Turkish Airlines for Eid al-Fitr holidays
Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced that, in order to meet the increased travel demand during the Eid al-Fitr holidays, 395 additional flights will be operated within a specific timeframe, of which 353 flights are related to domestic routes.
Official announcement from Turkish Airlines spokesperson
Yahya Üstün, the media advisor of Turkish Airlines, announced in a message posted on his personal social media account that these special flights have been planned for the upcoming holiday period.
"As Turkish Airlines, a total of 395 additional flights, including 353 domestic ones, have been planned between March 27 and April 6 to meet the increased demand during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. As the national flag carrier, we wish all our passengers a pleasant flight."
The purpose of increasing flights
This decision has been made to facilitate the transportation of passengers during one of the busiest travel periods of the year and reflects the quick response of Turkish Airlines to market demands. The Eid al-Fitr holidays are always one of the times when travel demand, especially on domestic routes in Turkey, rises significantly.
Wide coverage of destinations
It is expected that busy domestic routes such as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, and Trabzon will be prioritized in this program. In addition, international flights will also be arranged on a limited basis depending on demand and circumstances.
