Weather Forecast for the New Week; Rainfall Continues
With the arrival of spring, rainy weather conditions have affected large parts of Turkey. The Turkish Meteorological Organization has announced that this situation will continue in the coming week as well.
Continued Rainfall in Various Parts of the Country
According to the latest forecasts, in most parts of the country including Marmara, Ege, Akdeniz, İç Anadolu, Karadeniz, as well as the northern and western parts of southeastern Anatolia, the sky will be partly to mostly cloudy and scattered rainfall is expected in these regions.
These rains will mostly be in the form of showers and thunderstorms. In the inner regions of Karadeniz and the highlands of northeastern Doğu Anadolu, mixed rain and snow and snowfall are also forecasted.
Heavy Rainfall in Some Regions
It is expected that in areas such as Trakya, around Çanakkale, eastern Antalya, and the mid-range Toros mountains, rainfall will occur in the form of local heavy rain.
The Meteorological Organization has warned that during morning and night hours, in the Marmara region and the northern and central parts of the country, there is a possibility of local fog and haze.
Warning for the Start of the Week
Starting from Monday, a new weather system will enter the country. With the entry of this system, temperatures will begin to decrease from the northwestern regions, and it is expected that air temperatures will fall below seasonal averages.
Heavy Rainfall on Monday
On Monday, in regions such as Trakya, Çanakkale, eastern Antalya, and the mid-range Toros mountains, local heavy rain is forecasted. Citizens are advised to be cautious of the possibility of flash floods, water accumulation, lightning, and disruptions in transportation.
Snowfall on Tuesday
On Tuesday, in the cities of Kastamonu, Karabük, and Bolu, snowfall is expected to continue sporadically.
