Fenerbahçe reduced the gap to 3 points
The football team Fenerbahçe managed to defeat Trabzonspor 4-1 in week 30 of the Turkish Super Lig. This victory came despite Fenerbahçe trailing by one goal in the first half, but they made a powerful comeback in the second half. With this win, the point gap between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, who had a bye week, was reduced to 3.
A dominant comeback victory
In the match held at Ülker Stadium, the visiting team ended the first half with a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal by Draguş in the 45+4th minute.
However, in the second half, Fenerbahçe, with a brilliant performance by Anderson Talisca who scored a hat-trick, and a goal from Milan Škriniar, finished the game with a 4-1 win and raised their points to 68.
Talisca's hat-trick in a stunning return
Anderson Talisca, the Brazilian star of Fenerbahçe, entered the field at the beginning of the second half and delivered an outstanding performance. He scored his team's first goal from a penalty in the 51st minute, then scored the third goal in the 64th minute, and in the 77th minute, with a spectacular shot from outside the penalty area, scored his team’s fourth and his third goal.
Talisca scored a hat-trick for the first time in his career in Turkey.
He had previously played for Beşiktaş during the 2016–2017 and 2017–2018 seasons, and although he scored many goals, he had never achieved a hat-trick.
Fenerbahçe's fourth comeback win of the season
This was the fourth time this season that Fenerbahçe managed to win a match after falling behind. Previously, they had achieved the same in week 19 against Konyaspor, week 21 against Göztepe, and week 22 in the match with Çaykur Rizespor.
Škriniar scored again
Milan Škriniar, the Slovak defender of Fenerbahçe, scored his team’s second goal in this match and celebrated his second consecutive goal in the league. He struck the ball without hesitation following a low pass from Tadić, hitting the back of Trabzonspor’s net.
Škriniar had also scored the first goal for his team in the 5th minute of the previous match against Sipay Bodrum.
Penalty scene and VAR intervention
In the 50th minute of the match, Osayi-Samuel was brought down in the penalty area by Mustafa Eskihellaç. The referee initially called a foul and showed a yellow card to the Trabzon player. However, after a VAR review, it was determined that the foul occurred on the penalty line, and thus the referee pointed to the penalty spot.
Talisca stepped up to take the penalty and calmly converted it into a goal.
