Archie Brown, the new player of Fenerbahçe, in his first interview with the club’s media, spoke about the significant role of Jose Mourinho in this transfer and emphasized that from the very beginning he felt like part of this big family.
In an interview with Fenerbahçe TV, he said: "First of all, thank you. Honestly, being here feels like home to me. Even before coming here, I felt like I was already part of this family. That’s how I can describe it so far. Honestly, I’m full of emotions. Thank God it already feels like home here, right now.”
Mourinho was the main reason I came
Brown talked about working with Jose Mourinho: "Jose Mourinho was one of the most important reasons I came to this club. Working with someone who has such experience is a huge opportunity for me. I want to learn as much as I can from his knowledge and I hope under his guidance I can experience the best period of my football career. This is a great honor for me.”
Feeling wanted was the most important factor for me
The English defender talked about his reasons for choosing Fenerbahçe: “I think this decision was the result of a combination of several factors. The first reason was the family atmosphere that exists in the club. Feeling that everyone wanted me was very important for me. Also, I had a great conversation with Devin Özek which was a decisive factor. The president as well. Both of them made me feel like this is truly my home and that they genuinely wanted me to be here. I really thank them because I don’t know if I would be here now if it weren’t for them.”
I’m ready to give everything for the club
Brown concluded his remarks with a message to the fans: “My message to the fans is: I’m eagerly looking forward to being on the pitch. I promise to fight until the last moment.
