Beyaz’la Joker tops the ratings and welcomes the new year at number one
Beyaz’la Joker, hosted by Beyazıt Öztürk, kicked off the new year with a strong debut by ranking first in the ratings. The program, launched as Kanal D’s New Year surprise, began its broadcast journey straight from the top.
Blending competition excitement with humor and laughter, the show quickly captured viewers’ attention. Beyazıt Öztürk’s joke — “I’d like to thank all the channels. Since I’m back on air, they’ve apparently taken all the TV series off for the first week of the new year” — became one of the most shared moments on social media.
Receiving full marks from viewers, Beyaz’la Joker entered the ratings race in first place. Fans of Beyazıt Öztürk expressed both their happiness at seeing him back on screen and their appreciation for the competition format through numerous online posts.
The return of Beyazıt Öztürk to Kanal D screens made an immediate impact from the very first episode.
After many years, Beyazıt Öztürk reunited with viewers on Kanal D through Beyaz’la Joker and managed to win hearts right from the premiere. The program left its mark on Sunday night with its 3 million TL grand prize, joker mechanics, Beyaz’s natural warmth, and a lineup of colorful contestants.
The unexpected answers given by the first contestant, Ali Gerdan, surprised the studio audience, while Beyaz’s remark, “It’s obvious that I’ve arrived”, triggered waves of laughter. The second contestant, Yasemin Yeşilkeklik, added a different flavor to the show with her unique personality and calm demeanor.
The program’s success was also reflected in the ratings data. Beyaz’la Joker became the most-watched show of the day in the AB category with a rating of 4.26 and a share of 11.94. It ranked second in 20+ABC1 and third in the Total Audience category.
The episode in which Beyaz sang “Mardin Kapı Şen Olur” and made a call to Candan Erçetin also generated strong engagement on social media, allowing Beyaz’la Joker to outperform its rivals online as well.
