Turkish-Korean Wedding Celebration in Pamukkale
The wedding of Baturay Kaya and Jiyoung Kim celebrated the meeting of cultures in the historic site of Pamukkale. Baturay Kaya, a tourism professional and the son of Mesut Mumin Kaya (Mesut Mümin Kaya), a prominent businessman in the Denizli tourism sector, married Korean tour guide Jiyoung Kim, whom he met in the world-renowned white travertine district.
The magnificent wedding, which blended Turkish and Korean cultures, brought together the tourism community of Denizli. The couple, who transformed their friendship that began in Pamukkale into a lifelong commitment, entered into marriage with a ceremony attended by many guests. Before the wedding festivities, the formal marriage ceremony was held where Zuhal Yilmaz (Zuhal Yılmaz) and Semsettin Karasu (Şemsettin Karasu) served as witnesses. The marriage officer presented the official marriage certificate to the bride, Jiyoung Kaya, wishing the couple a lifetime of happiness.
"We organized our son's wedding with the support of our loved ones. I want to thank everyone who came from near and far to join our celebration. We will also hold another wedding in Korea around December to experience Korean culture. My son and daughter-in-law will now live in Pamukkale and work towards ensuring the city receives a greater share of tourism revenue," stated Mesut Mumin Kaya.
Kaya emphasized that Pamukkale is a unique center that brings different cultures together, noting that this marriage is one of the most beautiful examples of this harmony. The wedding was conducted according to Turkish traditions, featuring local treats, music, and entertainment throughout the night. The young couple cut their wedding cake together amidst the applause of the guests.
Reflecting the international tourism identity of Pamukkale, this wedding demonstrated once again how different cultures can unite under the umbrella of friendship and love in Denizli.
