Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat were arrested | Start of investigation into narcotics

In the wake of investigations in Istanbul regarding the crime of “purchasing, possessing, or using narcotics,” Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, along with two other individuals, were arrested by the police. After the initial investigations and reviews, these four people were released.

According to information released by the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office, following reports received via social networks, a video featuring these named individuals was reviewed. As a result, four individuals including Engin Polat, Alper Kurshat Polat, Hazal Erdogan, and the person who recorded this video, namely Dilan Polat, were subjected to legal prosecution.

These individuals were taken for a medical checkup late at night before being transferred to the police station. A search of their homes did not reveal any criminal evidence.

Release after interrogation

Following the interrogation, the lawyer for Dilan and Engin Polat, Sevinc Huruz, issued a statement on social media, saying:

"In the wake of the search of my clients' homes, no criminal evidence was found. Engin Polat and Dilan Polat were released after the interrogation was completed."

According to CNN TÜRK, the four suspects were interrogated and all four emphasized that they had not used narcotics.

"Such a matter is not true and we have not used any narcotic substances."

Before the arrest, Dilan Polat posted a video on social media in which she said:

"I can no longer live. I have no strength left to continue, I'm finished. They say we've used something, but I just found out about this news. Now they also say that we've been arrested. They will probably come and take me away."
