Arzu Yanardağ won the legal case
Arzu Yanardağ, who married Ali Serter in 2006 and separated from him in 2008, succeeded in winning the legal case regarding alimony that she filed against her former husband. This case was related to the expenses of their daughter Alara.
Petition for alimony
After separating from Ali Serter in 2008, Arzu Yanardağ claimed that she personally covered all expenses related to their daughter Alara. Through her lawyer, Murat Koç, she filed a lawsuit against her former husband demanding alimony.
“No support provided to the child”
The petition submitted to the court stated:
“The child has not received any financial or emotional support from the father for years. This situation has negatively affected her mental health. The child, who is now a 12th-grade student, has increasing needs day by day, and our client can no longer cover these expenses alone. We are requesting a monthly alimony of 35,000 lira from Ali Serter.”
Court ruling issued
The case, which lasted two years in the Istanbul Family Court, finally concluded with a ruling. The court partially accepted the complaint and ruled that Ali Serter must pay a monthly alimony of 17,000 lira.
