Bad news for Dilan Polat: Luxury cars are going up for sale
Luxury cars belonging to Dilan Polat and Engin Polat are set to be put up for sale soon. These vehicles, which were previously seized by authorities, will be sold through an auction.
The couple, who were arrested on charges of money laundering and tax evasion, remain in the media spotlight. They were released from prison this past August, and after their release, they tried to return to normal life. Now, once again, they’ve made headlines because of their luxury cars.
Start of the seized vehicle sales process
The high-value vehicles that were seized before the arrest are now being put up for sale. The Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), which was appointed as trustee, has announced that it plans to sell the vehicles owned by the Polat family.
Big names on the sales list
After being seized, these vehicles were moved to a secure parking lot and are monitored around the clock by cameras. Now, these luxury vehicles are to be sold to new buyers through a public auction. Among the listed vehicles are prestigious brands like Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW.
Details of the auction process
Those interested in participating in the auction must first submit their bids in sealed envelopes to the commission. If the highest bid exceeds the set base price, the auction will move to a public bidding stage. Ultimately, with the commission’s approval, the vehicles will be handed over to the new owners.
Auction date
According to the announcement by TMSF, this auction will be held on April 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the organization’s headquarters in the city of Istanbul.
“Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW are among the prominent brands that will be offered in this auction.”
