New Conditions for Extending Tourist Residence in Turkey in 2025
If you are residing in Turkey with a tourist residence permit and wish to extend it, you must pay attention to the new law. According to Article 15 of Law No. 6458, from now on, in order to extend a tourist residence permit, it is mandatory to present a document proving stable and legal income.
Also, if one of your first-degree relatives (such as a spouse or child) has legal residence in Turkey, you can attach their legal residence document to your application file as an alternative.

For extensions of short-term residence permits for tourism purposes, according to Article 15 of Law No. 6458, having regular and stable income is mandatory.
Accordingly, you are requested to either present a document showing your income for the past three months, or if available, a legal residence document of your first-degree relatives residing legally in Turkey, and attach it to your application file.
Change in Appointment Dates for Submitting Documents
The appointment dates for residence permits originally scheduled for April 2 to 4, 2025 (2-4 Nisan 2025) have been postponed to April 7 to 11, 2025 (7-11 Nisan 2025).
During this period, you can submit your residence permit application documents on April 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11, 2025 to the relevant İl Göç Müdürlükleri (Provincial Immigration Directorates).

Turizm amaçlı kısa dönem ikamet izni uzatma başvurularında 6458 sayılı Kanunun 15 inci maddesi kapsamında istikrarlı ve düzenli gelir şartı aranmaktadır.
Bu bağlamda; son 3 aya ait gelirinizi gösteren belgeyi veya varsa Türkiye'de yasal oturma hakkı bulunan birinci derece yakınlarınızın yasal oturma belgesini başvuru dosyanıza eklemeniz rica olunur.
DUYURU
2-4 Nisan 2025 tarihleri için planlanan ikamet izni randevulan 7-11 Nisan 2025 tarihlerine ertelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda ikamet izni başvuru evraklarınızı 7, 8, 9, 10 veya 11 Nisan 2025 tarihlerinde İl Göç Müdürlüklerine teslim edebilirsiniz.
