The Forensic Report Result Announced in the Polat Couple’s Drug Case
After a video was shared on social media, Dilan and Engin Polat faced accusations of using, possessing, and purchasing illegal drugs, and official investigations were launched. In this context, blood and urine samples of the couple were examined by the forensic medicine institution.
Background: Arrest and Financial Charges
The Polat family, who had previously spent around 10 months in custody due to accusations of money laundering, tax evasion, and fraud, are currently released on bail. In March, a video they posted on social media caused a strong public reaction, which led to the initiation of new investigations against them.
What Did the Forensic Tests Reveal?
Dilan and Engin Polat were transferred to the forensic medicine institution to undergo drug-related tests. These tests included taking samples of blood and urine.
Test Result: No Trace of Drugs Found
After the medical examinations, the couple was taken to the police department but was later released. According to the official report, no traces of drugs or psychoactive substances were found in their bodies.
The couple's lawyer, Sevinç Horoz, stated: “The results show that neither of my clients has used any drugs or stimulants.”
Ongoing Legal Proceedings
Despite the negative test results, investigations regarding other allegations related to that video are still ongoing. It is not yet clear whether the court will make a new decision regarding the couple.
