During the filming of the second installment of the popular movie “The Bride Team” in the Kabak Bay area of Fethiye, a heated argument broke out between two leading actors, Nilperi Şahinkaya and Fırat Çelik. The cause of the dispute was a disagreement over Burak Deniz, a figure who has had a legal conflict with them in the past.

This film, featuring stars such as Seda Bakan, Ecem Erkek, Şebnem Bozoklu, Ali Yoğurtçuoğlu, and Mehmet Günsür, is considered one of the most successful recent Turkish cinema productions.

Where Did It All Start?

According to a report by film journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the tension between Şahinkaya and Çelik occurred at the bar of La Boheme Hotel. Şahinkaya, who has a legal case with Burak Deniz, asked Çelik why he congratulated him on his birthday.

“Why did you congratulate someone I'm in court with on his birthday?”

Çelik replied that Burak Deniz was an old friend and that he did it out of respect. However, this answer was enough to escalate the tension between them.

Thrown Glasses, Actor Intervention

According to reports, Nilperi Şahinkaya, who was not in a normal state at the time and was very angry, started throwing glasses, causing the atmosphere to become very tense. Actors such as Seda Bakan and Şebnem Bozoklu tried to calm her down but were unsuccessful.

It is said that Şebnem Bozoklu fell off her chair during the incident, and some of the actors had to leave the bar due to the uncontrollable situation.

The next day, Nilperi Şahinkaya expressed regret for her behavior and apologized to all team members. With the mediation of Emre Oskay, the project's producer, the acting team decided to accept the apology to maintain production flow and put the matter to rest.
