Manifest Group Concert Under Investigation for Indecent Acts and Exhibitionism
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an official investigation into the Manifest music group over allegations of indecent acts and exhibitionism during their concert at Küçükçiftlik Park. The show, promoted as their first +18 concert, drew controversy due to the group’s dance routines and stage costumes.
Statement from the Prosecutor’s Office
According to the statement, on September 6, 2025, during a public concert in the Harbiye neighborhood of Şişli, actions on stage were deemed violations of public morals and decency. Based on Article 225 of the Turkish Penal Code, an investigation was initiated.
“These acts violate moral values and may negatively influence children and young people.”
Stage Costumes and Dance Routines
The newly emerging Turkish girl group Manifest appeared in black-themed outfits and delivered energetic dance performances. The concert, attended by about 12,000 people, sparked heated debate on social media.
Divided Reactions on Social Media
While some users supported the group’s right to perform freely, others criticized the show, calling it lacking in artistic value and demanding restrictions on similar events.
Previous Cancellations
Earlier, the group’s Erzurum concert had also been canceled by the local governor’s office due to concerns over costumes.
