Actor Bahadır Ünlü Assaults Employee with Kicks, Punches, and a Baseball Bat
In Beyoğlu, actor and social media figure Bahadır Ünlü was caught on camera assaulting an employee at his restaurant, allegedly accusing him of theft. Ünlü attacked the worker with kicks, punches, and a baseball bat. Following the incident, he was taken into custody, and his restaurant was sealed by municipal teams.
Reports indicate that Ünlü had also assaulted a customer in 2022 by striking him with the handle of a knife during an argument.
Details of the Incident
The incident occurred around 7 PM in Tomtom Neighborhood. Ünlü began by punching and kicking the employee, then lifted him into the air and slammed him onto the ground. He continued the assault with a baseball bat while recording the entire attack on his phone.
Arrest and Closure of the Restaurant
Beyoğlu police units arrested Bahadır Ünlü shortly after the footage spread online. The Beyoğlu Municipality later sealed the restaurant and issued a statement:
“Thanks to the videos you shared today, the venue has been sealed. Zero tolerance for violence. Once our teams confirmed that an employee had been assaulted at a business in Tomtom, the establishment was immediately shut down after inspection.”
Previous Incident from 2022
In January 2022, Ünlü struck a customer on the head with the handle of a knife after the man allegedly argued with Ünlü’s wife. That incident was captured on security cameras, and Ünlü was released after initial police processing.
