The Death of Güllü: Criminal Complaint Filed by Siblings
Following the death of Güllü, the well-known singer, her siblings have filed a criminal complaint, accusing her children of killing their mother in order to obtain her inheritance.
Güllü, whose real name is Gül Tut, died on September 26 in Yalova, in the Çınarcık district, Harmanlar neighborhood, in an apartment building located on Vali Akı Street. The 52-year-old artist fell from the window of a closed terrace on the fifth floor while spending time with her daughter and a friend, and lost her life at the scene.
After the incident, her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, who was present in the apartment at the time, was arrested on charges of premeditated murder of a close relative. In the same case, Sultan Nur Ulu was placed under house arrest.
Allegations of Murder for Inheritance
Güllü’s siblings, Kader Tut and Raşit Günyer, submitted a formal criminal complaint to the prosecutor’s office against their nephews Tuğyan Ülkem and Tuğberk Yağız Gülter, claiming that their mother was killed for inheritance-related motives.
However, their request to officially join the case file was rejected on the grounds that they are not considered legal heirs under the law.
Investigation Into Güllü’s Assets
Upon instructions from the Yalova Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı, a detailed financial investigation was carried out regarding Güllü’s assets. The inquiry revealed that she owned two apartments in Çınarcık inherited from her mother.
The prosecutor’s office contacted more than 50 banks and insurance companies. Authorities stated that there was no insurance payout related to Güllü’s death, and that her bank accounts contained only small amounts, ranging between 250 and 850 Turkish lira.
Tuğberk Gülter had previously stated that they were not in a financial position to pay legal fees and that their lawyers were representing them without charging any payment.
The investigation into the death of Güllü is still ongoing, and the case continues to attract significant public attention in Yalova.
