Mehmet Ali Erbil and Gülseren Ceylan step back from divorce decision
Mehmet Ali Erbil and Gülseren Ceylan, who got married last August, had recently made headlines with claims that they were heading toward divorce due to disagreements and frequent arguments. However, the couple later surprised their followers by announcing during a live broadcast that they had reconsidered their decision and reconciled. At the same time, discussions reignited on social media, with some users questioning whether the couple were using their marriage for publicity.
The well-known couple, who tied the knot in August, had attracted significant public attention from the beginning, particularly because of their 40-year age difference. On Monday, December 15, reports about their potential divorce dominated the agenda. It was claimed that a marriage agreement prevented either party from making financial claims against the other, and that incompatibility linked to the age gap, along with frequent disputes, had pushed the relationship into a deadlock.
They reconsider the divorce decision
In their latest move, the famous couple went live on TikTok and announced that they had withdrawn their decision to separate and would continue their relationship. During the broadcast, Gülseren Ceylan said:
“We made up, yes. I’m at home, and I know that the person who loves me the most in this life is Mehmet Ali. Isn’t that right?”
Mehmet Ali Erbil responded briefly, confirming her words with a simple “Yes.”
Reconciliation or publicity?
Following the live broadcast, reactions on social media intensified. While many users welcomed the couple’s reconciliation, others criticized them, claiming that they were turning their marriage into a publicity tool. As a result, the debate over whether this was a genuine reconciliation or a media-driven move once again became a hot topic online.
