Aslı Bekiroğlu Undergoes Surgery Once Again: “My Intestine Was Cut”
Turkish actress Aslı Bekiroğlu has undergone another surgery due to ongoing health complications stemming from a previous operation. The actress had earlier revealed that a medical error occurred during a fibroid surgery, resulting in part of her intestine being cut.
Following the most recent operation, Aslı Bekiroğlu shared a photo from her hospital room and reassured her followers that her condition is good, stating that the surgery was successful.
Seven Centimeters of the Intestine Were Cut
Aslı Bekiroğlu had previously spoken in detail about the incident during a YouTube program, explaining that while undergoing surgery to remove a uterine fibroid, approximately seven centimeters of her intestine were accidentally cut.
She stated that about a week after the surgery, an internal leakage developed, forcing doctors to perform an emergency operation. This complication made her recovery process extremely difficult and prolonged.
“After the operation, a leakage occurred and I had to undergo emergency surgery again. It was an incredibly exhausting period.”
Weight Gain and Psychological Pressure
Bekiroğlu also spoke about weight gain caused by the medication she used during treatment, noting that this led to misleading and hurtful comments on social media.
She said she was repeatedly asked, “Are you pregnant?” and added: “I have a stoma in my abdomen, and I was psychologically exhausted as well.” According to backstage reports, the actress is currently considering whether to take legal action against her doctor.
Reassuring Message from the Hospital
After undergoing surgery once again, Aslı Bekiroğlu shared a message from the hospital to calm her fans and thank everyone who supported her throughout the process.
“Thankfully, my surgery went well. I sincerely thank everyone who wrote, called, visited, and prayed for me.”
