“Smoke Exposure” Defense from Aleyna Tilki’s Lawyer After Positive Test Result
Within the scope of a drug investigation, following the announcement of a positive test result for Aleyna Tilki, her lawyer stated that the outcome was the result of passive exposure to smoke.
During the investigation process, hair and blood samples were taken from Aleyna Tilki. According to the results, the blood sample was clean, while the hair sample returned a positive finding. Her lawyer, Adem Uğur Kızıldere, emphasized that no substance was detected in the blood test and argued that the result did not indicate direct drug use.
As part of the investigation conducted by the İstanbul Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı, the results of the drug tests carried out at the Adli Tıp Kurumu were added to the prosecutor’s case file. According to the report, no substance was found in Aleyna Tilki’s blood sample, while a positive finding associated with cannabis was identified in the hair sample.
Throughout the investigation, hair and blood samples were collected, and after the completion of legal procedures, the singer was released. Following the inclusion of the forensic report in the case file, the issue once again became a public topic, prompting a statement from Aleyna Tilki’s lawyer.
“This Is a Case of Passive Smoke Exposure”
“No substance was detected in my client’s blood sample. What was identified in the hair sample is not a chemical substance, but a substance related to smoke.”
Aleyna Tilki’s lawyer stated that the test results had been misinterpreted in the media and underlined that his client had recently been in a country where cannabis use is legal.
According to Kızıldere, the positive finding was not the result of active use, but occurred due to inhalation in public areas and the absorption of smoke into the hair.
“We believe that because my client was present in a country where this substance is legally consumed, she was exposed to smoke in public spaces, leading to passive absorption into the hair.”
