Ufuk Bayraktar Appears in Court Over Assault Allegations
Turkish actor Ufuk Bayraktar appeared before the court following allegations of assault at a workplace. He is set to stand trial with a prison sentence request of up to 12 years, drawing significant public and media attention.
According to the indictment, the incident allegedly took place on August 21 at a business located in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. It was claimed that Ufuk Bayraktar caused a disturbance at the venue, after which the business owner filed a complaint. The situation reportedly escalated into an assault allegation.
Charge of “Aggravated Robbery at a Workplace with Multiple Persons”
Under the charges brought against him, Ufuk Bayraktar is accused of “robbery at a workplace committed together with multiple persons”, an offense that carries a potential sentence of up to 12 years in prison. The case will be heard for the first time at the İstanbul 16th High Criminal Court.
