Deniz Akkaya Detained for Violating a Court Protection Order
Former model Deniz Akkaya has been detained after violating a court-issued protection order granted in favor of TV host Seda Akgül. The detention followed the finalization of a three-day coercive imprisonment sentence previously imposed on Akkaya.
According to the court ruling, Deniz Akkaya was sentenced to three days in prison for breaching the judicial order that prohibited her from engaging in any action or communication directed at Seda Akgül. Once the decision became final, she was taken into custody and transferred to Burhaniye Prison to serve her sentence.
After the news of her detention spread widely, Deniz Akkaya shared a video on her social media account addressing the claims. In the video, she stated that she had gone out for a walk as usual and said she was currently in İstinye, having arrived from Belgrad.
“As always, I went out for a walk without caring about snow or mud. I’m in İstinye right now; I came from Belgrad.”
These remarks came shortly after reports emerged claiming that Akkaya had been taken to Burhaniye Prison, triggering widespread discussion and reactions across social media platforms.
What Happened Before?
The dispute between Seda Akgül and Deniz Akkaya had been ongoing for some time before being taken to court. Following a series of social media posts, Akgül filed a complaint, alleging that Akkaya had made posts containing insults, threats, and violations of personal rights.
After reviewing the case, the court ruled in favor of Seda Akgül and imposed a two-month protective measure against Deniz Akkaya. Under this decision, Akkaya was prohibited from making any statements or engaging in any form of communication targeting Akgül, including through social media.
