Speaking about his friendship with renowned actor Müjdat Gezen, Bülent Ersoy explained that Gezen found the surname “Erkoç” too harsh in tone and expressed his opinion openly.
“Müjdat Gezen told me that the surname Erkoç sounded too sharp and suggested a softer one instead.”
According to Ersoy, Müjdat Gezen proposed the surname Ersoy, which he felt had a smoother and more suitable sound for an artistic career.
