Volkan Konak, remembered as “Kuzeyin Oğlu”, passed away on March 31, 2025, after suffering a heart attack during a concert in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC). He was 58 years old. Now, one of his most beloved songs has been re-released in a new version.
It was learned that if he had been alive, Volkan Konak had dreamed of releasing the song’s music video on February 14, featuring scenes from their wedding. That dream has now been fulfilled following his passing.
Volkan Konak and Selma Konak married in 1992, but due to financial difficulties at the time, they were unable to hold a wedding ceremony. After 31 years, in 2023, the couple finally realized that unfinished dream by organizing a special outdoor wedding, once again saying “yes” to each other in bridal and groom attire. The meaningful night became an unforgettable memory for both them and their loved ones.
