Hakan Sabanci's Statement Released Following Drug Investigation
Businessperson Hakan Sabanci (Hakan Sabancı), who was detained as part of a drug investigation and subsequently released with a travel ban by the court, denied all allegations in his statement to the prosecutor's office. Sabanci maintained that he has never used drugs at any point in his life.
Hakan Sabanci Denies Allegations
In his statement, Sabanci claimed that Aygun Aydin (Aygün Aydın), who is at the center of the accusations, slandered him. Stating that he had only met Aydin once in the past, Sabanci reminded the authorities that this individual had become obsessed with him and that there were existing restraining orders against her.
"I have never used drugs in any period of my life. I have not been in environments where drugs were used. The person you asked about, Aygun Aydin, is someone I saw once in the past, who later became obsessed with me, against whom I obtained a restraining order, and who was even imprisoned for violating that order."
Sabanci further emphasized that the claims made about him are slanderous and that he absolutely did not use drugs with this individual.
Meeting at the Residence and References to Others
Sabanci clarified details regarding specific locations, stating that while he had visited the Bebek Hotel (Bebek Otel) in the past, he never went there with Aygun Aydin, nor did he go anywhere else with her. He noted that they met once at his residence on the middle floor, but no drug use occurred. He also stated that he never attended parties.
Regarding other names mentioned, Sabanci said, "I know Hande Ercel (Hande Erçel). This person has never used drugs in my presence."
