Why Did Model Break Up? Fatma Turgut and Can Temiz's Confession Years Later: It Was Inevitable
Fatma Turgut, the lead singer of the once-iconic band Model, and Can Temiz, one of the group's founders, shared sincere statements on a YouTube program regarding the group's dissolution process. The duo stated that psychological fatigue was effective in this decision.
Fatma Turgut and Can Temiz made notable confessions about both the past and the breakup of the Model group through questions they directed at each other. Turgut stated that they struggled to manage the effects of sudden fame at a young age.
"There Were Things I Could Not Manage"
"We became very famous in our early 20s. We woke up one morning and could almost not walk on the street. During that period, we all experienced different forms of being lost. Now, looking back as a 42-year-old woman, I clearly see there were things I could not manage. Therefore, I feel responsible for the band's breakup."
Can Temiz expressed that he made efforts for a long time to prevent the group from breaking up, but it was inevitable.

"Everyone Was Very Tired"
Temiz included the following words in his statement:
"I tried very hard to prevent Model from breaking up, but honestly, I did not feel responsible for its end. Perhaps it needed to end. Everyone was very tired. Looking back now, I see that everyone is in a better place mentally."
Stating that the group members have recovered psychologically over the years, Temiz also expressed that different decisions might have been made if viewed with the same maturity today.
