Temperature Drop Starts From Today

According to the Meteorological Organization's forecast, the temperature, which has been above the seasonal norm in recent days, will gradually decrease from today and will be between 10 to 18 degrees colder by midweek.

Rainfall in Wide Parts of the Country

According to experts, today the entire country will experience partly to mostly cloudy skies. It is also expected that in areas such as the western regions of the Sea of Marmara, western Black Sea, western Eastern Anatolia, the interior regions of Eastern Black Sea, and the cities of Adana, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaras, Rize, Tokat, Sivas, Kayseri, and Nigde there will be rainfall, with thunderstorms expected in some regions.

Continued Rainfall on Tuesday

Tomorrow, most parts of the country will also be rainy. The coastal areas of the Mediterranean Sea will experience partly cloudy skies. Rainfall is expected in the form of showers and sometimes thunderstorms, and in the northwestern parts of Central Anatolia, western Black Sea, southeastern Marmara, and northeastern Eastern Anatolia, there is a possibility of sleet and snow.

Weather Forecast for Midweek

For Wednesday, the western areas of the Sea of Marmara, western Mediterranean coasts, and Aegean coasts will have partly to mostly cloudy skies, and rainfall will continue in other parts of the country. In the central and eastern Mediterranean, Black Sea coasts, southeastern Anatolia, and southeastern Eastern Anatolia, heavy rain and showers are expected, while in other areas the precipitation will mainly be in the form of snow.

Sharp Drop in Temperature in the Coming Days

Today, it is expected that the temperature in the western parts of the country will decrease by 4 to 6 degrees, and this trend will continue gradually until Wednesday, with temperatures dropping by up to 18 degrees in some areas.

Temperature Forecast for Different Cities

According to the latest forecasts, today’s maximum temperatures in various cities will be as follows:

  • Ankara: 24°C
  • Istanbul: 20°C
  • Izmir: 24°C
  • Samsun: 19°C
  • Antalya: 21°C
  • Adana: 27°C
  • Diyarbakir: 19°C

However, for Wednesday, the temperature will drop significantly:

  • Ankara: 2°C
  • Istanbul: 7°C
  • Izmir: 15°C
  • Samsun: 8°C
  • Antalya: 16°C
  • Adana: 17°C
Experts have warned: "The temperature drop may be accompanied by snowfall and icing, so drivers should exercise extra caution."

It is recommended that citizens take the necessary precautions for the sudden cold and severe weather changes expected in the coming days.
