Millions of Passengers at Istanbul Airports

In the first two months of this year, the number of passengers flying from Istanbul and Sabiha Gökçen airports increased by 834,050, reaching 19 million 16 thousand and 433 passengers.

According to data published by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ), the number of passengers traveling from Istanbul airports in the first two months of this year has increased compared to 2024.

Istanbul Airport

At Istanbul Airport, 12 million 126 thousand and 595 passengers traveled in January and February. Of these, 2 million 318 thousand and 780 were domestic flights, and 9 million 807 thousand and 815 were international flights.

Sabiha Gökçen Airport

During the same period, Sabiha Gökçen Airport hosted 2 million 863 thousand and 78 passengers on domestic flights and 4 million 26 thousand and 760 on international flights, totaling 6 million 889 thousand and 838 passengers.

Growth in the Number of Flights at Istanbul Airports

The number of flights operated from Istanbul airports has also increased. At Istanbul Airport, 79 thousand 745 flights were conducted in the first two months of this year, which is 666 more flights than the previous year. At Sabiha Gökçen Airport, the number of flights reached 39 thousand 983, indicating a 6% growth compared to the previous year.
