Heavy snowfall on the Karabük-Bartın road disrupted traffic
Heavy snowfall on the Karabük to Bartın route, especially in elevated areas, caused disruptions in the movement of vehicles.
This snowfall, which was more intense in the highlands of the city, made driving significantly difficult for motorists.
Problems at the elevated Ahmetusta Pass
At the Ahmetusta pass, located at an altitude of 1,030 meters above sea level, the road was completely covered with snow and many vehicles faced difficulties in passing through.
Some vehicles got stuck in the snow, and drivers, with the help of others, attempted to push and move them.
Sliding and temporary road blockage
In one incident, a trailer truck slid on the snow and veered off, blocking the road.
"With the quick intervention of road teams and the implementation of snow clearing and salting operations, the road was reopened soon and traffic returned to normal."
Following this incident, road teams entered the scene with the necessary equipment and worked on clearing the snow and salting the road to make it safe for vehicles.
Currently, traffic on this route has returned to normal and the road is open.
