Moments Showing Güllü’s Daughter Leaving Home with a Suitcase Before Her Detention
Newly obtained footage reveals the moment Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, the daughter of Güllü —who died under suspicious circumstances after falling from the window of her home’s terrace in Yalova— left a building in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul with her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, both carrying suitcases shortly before they were detained. The footage shows the two descending the stairs and exiting the building.
Based on the recordings, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and Sultan Nur Ulu appeared to be preparing to leave the country. The footage was captured only hours before their detention.
Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter —daughter of the well-known singer Güllü, whose real name is Gül Tut— was detained along with her friend Sultan Nur Ulu by teams from the Yalova Homicide Bureau at a residential complex in Büyükçekmece. Their arrest was part of the investigation into the suspicious death of the artist.
On 28 September 2025, Güllü lost her life after falling from the window of the enclosed terrace on the fifth floor of a building located on Vali Akı Street in the Harmanlar neighbourhood of Çınarcık, Yalova, while she was spending time with her daughter and her daughter’s friend.
As the investigation led by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office progressed, the daughter of the singer and her friend were located in Büyükçekmece, detained, and transferred to Yalova for further legal proceedings.
Footage Shows Them Leaving the Building with Suitcases
Security camera recordings captured the moment when Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and Sultan Nur Ulu left the building where they had been staying, carrying suitcases. The footage shows them descending the stairs and exiting the property together.
“It Was Clear She Was Struggling”
A local shopkeeper named Özgür Karadaş, who saw Tuğyan Gülter shortly after the incident, commented on her behaviour, saying:
“I know the family well. Just a week before her death, Ms. Güllü told me she would visit. After the incident, I was surprised when I saw her daughter here. I wasn’t sure it was her at first, so my friends and I discussed it until we recognised her by her tattoos. Her calmness was shocking. She passed by here three times that day, and once she was deeply focused on her phone. When we later saw the news of her detention, we were truly surprised. It was obvious she was dealing with personal difficulties.”
