Audio Recording of Güllü Revealed in Her Death Investigation: “You Will Experience What You Made Me Go Through”
As part of the ongoing investigation into the death of Güllü, a prominent figure in Arabesque music, a new audio recording she sent to her daughter shortly before her death has been added to the case file. The recording reflects deep tension between mother and daughter. In the message, Güllü tells her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter:
“Tuğyan, you will experience everything you made me go through in this life. When that time comes, I will no longer be here. Maybe you will come to my grave and cry, but you won’t even do that. This world will not remain yours.”
Investigation Into the Fatal Fall: A Confession That Changed the Course of the Case
The death of Güllü after falling from the sixth-floor window of her apartment in Yalova raised questions about whether it was suicide, an accident, or murder. However, a witness confession dramatically changed the direction of the investigation.
According to the testimony of Sultan Nur Ulu, a friend of Güllü’s daughter who was present in the home at the time, the fall occurred due to direct physical involvement from Tuğyan. She stated:
“After we played for a while, Gül anne was standing with her face toward the window. At that moment, Tuğyan wrapped her arms around Gül anne from above her knees and pushed her. She lost her balance and fell. I was shocked. Then Tuğyan told me: ‘Run’. And we ran downstairs.”
Arrest of Güllü’s Daughter: “I Am Innocent, the Truth Will Come Out”
Following this confession, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter was arrested on charges of premeditated murder and sent to prison, while other suspects were released. As she was taken to the courthouse, she responded to journalists by saying:
“I am innocent, and the truth will come out.”
Meanwhile, her lawyers announced that they had withdrawn from the case.
New Audio Recordings Enter the Case File: Long-standing Conflicts and Emotional Tension
According to CNN Türk, additional audio recordings between Güllü and her daughter — containing heated arguments and emotional confrontations — were added to the case file as evidence. In one part of the recordings, Güllü says:
“If someone ruined your life, then go back to them. When has anything been stable in your life, Tuğyan? The only thing you ever did that made me smile was earning a diploma… a profession, a degree.”
She then speaks of the hardships she endured:
“Think about it — put your hand on your head. What has this woman gone through because of you? Who stood by you in your hardest moments? Remember after you divorced Mahmut — who was beside you then?”

In another segment, Güllü continues expressing her resentment and pain:
“I wouldn’t even say this to my enemy, but Tuğyan… you will experience everything you made me go through. When that time comes, I won’t be here. Maybe you’ll come to my grave crying, but you won’t even do that… Taking your child out to eat or buying a few chocolates does not make someone a mother.”
She also speaks about years of working tirelessly for her children:
“I stayed awake night after night, I worked for years just so you could study and get your degree. And this is your gratitude… But thank God, my son has always been grateful.”
“This World Will Not Remain Yours”
At the end of the recording, Güllü expresses her deep disappointment:
“Even if I wanted to, I can no longer care about you. You even run away from your own child. I could have left you with your father, but I didn’t — I fought for you. You are so selfish that you even carry the sin of a child who is only two or three years old. But remember… this world will not remain yours.”
