Sadettin Saran, President of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, had previously given a statement as a suspect within the scope of a drug-related investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. After his testimony, he was released under judicial control measures. During the investigation, the emergence of private messages allegedly exchanged between him and Ela Rümeysa Cebeci — a broadcaster who was detained for a period in connection with the same case — caused significant public attention.
As the messages rapidly spread on social media and became part of the entertainment and media agenda, İrem Derici chose not to remain silent. The singer, who had previously been mentioned in a similar investigation and stated at the time that her test results were clear, addressed the issue this time through a post shared on her official X account.
