Demet Akalın receives a hair gift from Iran and talks about the success of “Yerinde Dur”
Demet Akalın drew attention with her new long hairstyle and revealed that it was a gift brought from Iran. Speaking about the hair, the famous singer said she put it on immediately and emphasized how valuable it is by pointing out its price by weight.
“This hair came from Iran, I put it on right away. Do you know how much it costs per kilo? A friend brought it as a gift. I liked it a lot.”
According to a report by Atakan Makar, Demet Akalın and Sefo were honored by Sony Music following the remarkable success of their song “Yerinde Dur”. The duo received a platinum record award and then answered questions from the press.
Thanking her collaborator, Demet Akalın said:
“I thank Sefo so much. I had wanted to work with him for a long time. We only shared the teaser of the song and we never expected this reaction. I couldn’t believe it. This song brought back my old, brilliant days. He is like a brother to me.”

Expressing her happiness about the strong interest in the song, Demet Akalın said that she suggested attending all award ceremonies and even visiting universities together, stressing that they had achieved a major hit. She also shared a memory from Paris, where a waiter recognized the song and asked if it belonged to them, a moment that made her feel extremely proud.
Sefo, on the other hand, thanked everyone involved in the project and noted that while they would make new songs, surpassing the success of “Yerinde Dur” would not be easy.
Demet Akalın also spoke about the creative process of the song, saying that the famous line at the end initially raised questions for her, but later became one of the most memorable parts of the track.
She added that she has also collaborated with Lvbel C5 on another song, but believes that no other track can truly replace the impact of “Yerinde Dur.”
Commenting on being addressed as “Demet Abla,” the singer said she does not like the term, as it makes her feel older, adding that her daughter Hira’s friends usually call her “Demo.”
Akalın also mentioned an acting offer that came for her daughter Hira, explaining that she left the final decision to her regarding participation in the film “Köstebekgiller”.
