Özbek's support for Adalı's statements about foreign referees
The president of Galatasaray Club, Dursun Özbek, supported the statements of Serdal Adalı, the president of Beşiktaş Club, regarding the request to use foreign referees.
Özbek, in an interview with Anadolu Agency (AA), emphasized his alignment with Adalı’s views and said:
"We have said many times that Beşiktaş Club's request in this matter is reasonable and we support it. I confirm the majority of today's statements by Serdal Adalı and I sign off on them."
In recent days, Serdal Adalı, referring to the officiating of Slavko Vincic, the Slovenian referee, in the derby match between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in week 25 of the Turkish Süper Lig, once again called for the use of a foreign referee for the crucial match between Beşiktaş and Galatasaray.
He also reacted strongly to the decision of the Turkish Football Federation to reject this request and called on the federation officials to resign.
Adalı specifically criticized the appointment of Yasin Kol as the referee for the week 29 match, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 29.
